Stephen Varanko III attended Randolph Macon Academy from 1996 to 2000.  He made both the dean’s and president’s list and finished 12th in class rankings with a cumulative grade point average of 3.4.  He had been known and recognized for his leadership roles in many student organizations and in three of the school’s varsity teams (basketball, cross-country, and lacrosse).  He also attended a leadership camp organized by the Virginia Association of Independent Schools.

 

Besides being active in many school extracurriculars, he had also volunteered for Habitat for Humanity in the summer of 1999.

 

Upon finishing high school, Stephen Varanko III would take up a bachelor of science in history in 2001 at the Virginia Military Institute. He would later receive a certificate of completion from the Community Emergency Response Team Program in 2003 and complete his degree in 2005.  Today, he is certified as an emergency medical technician. Currently, he resides in Baldwin, MD.

 

Having been an active varsity player and team captain during his high school days, he would again play lacrosse for a school team in college as a walk-on player in 2001.

 

Other extracurricular activities he participated in include serving as an escort for the Apple Blossom Parade during sophomore and junior year and being his graduating class’ commencement marshal.

 

In addition to the many awards, Stephen Varanko III has received for his academic and athletic accomplishments and leadership excellence, he was mentioned in Who's Who Among American High School Students, a catalog and website that had been dedicated to recognizing students of excellence in the 1990s and 2000s.
