Stephen Varanko III
About
Stephen Varanko II had been involved in organizational leadership since high school. An alumnus of the Randolph Macon Academy, he was an active participant in several extracurricular and athletic activities.
He was an active participant in many extracurricular activities. He was president of both the honor council and student council organizations in his senior year. A few other leadership and representational positions he took at the time include student agent of the alumni association, school representative for the Virginia Leadership Conference, and team leader for both the school’s Awareness Presentation Team and Habitat for Humanity.
An athlete at heart, Mr. Varanko was an active member of his school’s varsity teams and captained them during his junior and senior years. He played basketball, cross-country, and lacrosse.
He also worked as a lunch server at the 4-H center in the Spring of 1999.
Throughout high school, Stephen Varanko III had received many awards for leadership, academic, and athletic excellence. Some of his achievements are as follows:

Received the Coach’s Award for basketball in the 10th and 11th grade

Named Most Improved Player in basketball in the 11th grade

Named Most Improved Player in cross-country in the 11th grade

Part of the All-Conference 2nd Team in cross-country in the 11th grade

Part of the All-Conference 1st Team in cross-country in the 12th grade

Part of the 1st Team in the Dulaney Lacrosse All-Conference

Named Most Valuable Player in varsity lacrosse in the 11th and 12th grades

Received the All-American Scholar’s Award in chemistry
